Why it exists

“Every Sunday looked the same, at every church I played for — a folder of PDFs, a separate click app, a separate pad player, and a chart that never quite matched what we were playing.”

Phorm came out of playing on a handful of different worship teams and running into the same problem at every one of them: a chart prepped one way during the week, and a completely different stack of tools running the show live on Sunday. I wanted one place to bring in a chart, arrange it the way the team would actually play it, and then run the whole thing live — without swapping between four different apps mid-set.

So Phorm does both halves of the job: the quiet part during the week, where a chart gets imported, arranged, and keyed for Sunday — and the loud part on Sunday, where the same chart runs the click, the pads, and the screen every player is reading from.

It started as a tool for one team. If your team's doing the same juggling act, it might help yours too.

What can I import into Phorm? +

SongSelect PDF chord charts convert automatically into an editable arrangement — Phorm reads the sections so you're not retyping anything. A reference chart, like a MultiTracks PDF, opens in its original layout instead, viewable right alongside your converted charts.

What devices does Phorm run on? +

Phorm runs right in the browser — an iPad on stage, and a desktop or laptop for building charts and setlists ahead of time. Add it to your iPad's Home Screen and it opens full-screen, like any other app.

Does it hold up if the church wifi acts up? +

Phorm is built to keep working once a setlist is loaded, so a shaky connection mid-service isn't a reason to panic. We'd still recommend opening your set before you walk on stage, same as you would with anything else.

Can my whole team use the same setlist? +

Yes — everyone signs in and works from the same shared chart library and setlists, so the team is always looking at the same version of the song.

Can I get a chart out of Phorm for ProPresenter or Planning Center? +

You can export a clean PDF or copy a chart as ChordPro for Planning Center today. Direct ProPresenter export is on the way.
